Joe Tandy Racing won on it's debut
outing at Thruxton this weekend. The team, formed primarily to see
brother Nick Tandy through to the end of the year after splitting
with RaySport for financial reasons, took Pole position for race
one in the JTR Ray GRS06. Nick finished 2nd to the Van Diemen of
Christan Ebbesvick in the weekends first race and then won the
second encounter, taking fastest lap and a new lap record along
the way. Team boss, Joe Tandy said 'to win on our debut is
phenomenal and surpasses our expectations as a fledgling team, but
the car was quick straight out of the box and Nick drove very
well'
