This weekend at Castle Coombe signalled the second outing for JTR in the UK Formula Ford Championship. Driver, Nick Tandy qualified 2nd for both races, and after some titanic battles with Championship leader Nathan Freke, finished second in race 1 and took another hard earned victory in Race 2.

After missing two rounds of the Championship at Knockhill mid-season, it seemed Nicks chances of Championship glory were all over, but coming into Castle Coombe, the last round of the year 5th in the points standings, his win and second place were enough to elevate him to a well deserved 2nd in the overall standings. Joe Tandy 'to win again against such strong opposition is fantastic, and Nicks 2nd in the Championship was an unexpected bonus - but in reality we have been using these last few races as an extended test session for the Formula Ford Festival in two weeks at Brands Hatch, as that’s the big one everybody wants to win'
