After being sidelined from a
potential Championship winning opportunity in Champ Car Atlantic
due to budget difficulties, Joe Tandy is looking at several race
series to keep his hand in while raising the necessary funds for
the 2007 season.
The potential for the '07 season to take off in the States took a
turn for the better last week, when Joe finalised a deal for
£100,000 to put towards the Champ Car Atlantic series, the Champ
Car feeder series that offers $2,000,000 in prize money. Joe's
team are currently working on other possibilities and are positive
that the necessary support from Marketing partners / Investors
will emerge and this fantastic British talent, which took a top
flight single seater championship in its rookie season, and is
currently in the top six British young drivers, will be able to
compete at the highest level come next year.
In the meantime, as well as his race driver instructing / coaching
duties, Joe is looking at the US FF2000 Championship for this
year, to get an introduction to the US tracks and racing culture,
and is also considering occasional outings in the British GT
series and potentially the Formula Palmer Audi series - in which
he will be defending his Championship.
