Like any other six year old boy, Joe's first toy was a scalextric set which provided many "racing battles" with his younger brother Nick. Even at an early age, Joe developed a passion for anything motorised - if it could be raced, it would be raced. Early on, the Tandy family lost all control of their sit down lawn mower, and soon, with much determination and passion, Joe would follow his fathers' footsteps into the world of motorsport.
